The ProductSearch web service enables people to find and compare product information at a detailed level. Since all trade item information is shared in the same channel, it is easier for buyers, purchasers, and consumers to find the right information and compare different products in a variety of product categories.
With ProductSearch you have free access to current products launched for the Swedish market. The products are always automatically quality checked and often also manually checked and quality assured. Since the service is synchronized several times a day, you have constant access to up-to-date and updated article data with high data quality.
Does it cost anything to use ProductSearch?
No, there is no cost to use the service. You can do unlimited searches, apply filters and compare data free of charge.
Why can't I save the pictures?
As is for article information, images also have a life span. In order to always view the correct and current image attached to the product you are interested in, we recommend that you seek out the product again. Something may have changed, for example, if a product receives new packaging, it might look completely different.
Why can't I print or save the pages?
Trade item information is perishable and to ensure that you always have access to correct and up-to-date data, we recommend that you re-search the product. Something may have changed, for example in terms of content or appearance, packaging size or other important parameters. You can access this changed data in ProductSearch, but not on a printed paper in a binder or a pdf on your hard drive.
Why can't I export the product information?
Trade item information is perishable and to ensure that you always have access to correct and up-to-date data, we recommend that you re-search the product. If you still want to have access to download data, we offer the services Validoo Buyer or Receiver. Through these services it is also possible to automatically retrieve product information and images through an API.
How do I provide feedback on product search improvements?
At GS1 Sweden, we work agile, in close co-operation with our users, and we will use different methods to gather your views and suggestions for improvement. From time to time, for example, we will activate online questionnaires to collect your feedback in real time, here and now. If you see such a questionnaire, we will be happy and grateful that you take the time to share your views with us. We will also talk to current and potential users to identify new needs and requests.
