GS1 Sweden has contracted the Portuguese company Softlimits for the continued development, maintenance and operation of Validoo Item. During the first half of 2010 Validoo Item’s local system will be migrated to Softlimits’ platform.
Selection process
GS1 Sweden has approached the selection of a partner on a broad front and has included both local and international suppliers in the evaluation process. An overriding aim has been to find a partner with a system that will require few changes for Swedish customers. This parameter is well satisfied by Softlimits and GS1 Sweden has good experiences of the company. Since 2006, GS1 Sweden has worked with them and used their system for communication in GDSN (a global network of services for validation and distribution of trade item information).
