Guidelines and specifications for ESAP20

Retail supply chain components
The basis of ESAP 20 is the Trade Item Information and Supply Chain processes (ESAP 20.1). In addition there is a process for Procurement Discount (ESAP20.3). Development is also under way of a standardised process for handling returnable items and packaging (ESAP20.4).

Supply Chain (ESAP 20.1)

ESAP 20.1 can be used between suppliers and
- Grocery wholesalers and retailers
- Food service wholesalers
as well as
- Office products wholesalers and retailers
- Building materials wholesalers and retailers
- Other specialty retail
Procurement Discount (ESAP 20.3)
This process is used between suppliers and food service wholesalers for repayment of procurement discount. It can also be used between suppliers and CPG wholesalers for repayment of promotion support.
Returns (ESAP 20.4) - under development
The Returns process is used together with the Supply Chain process to handle discrepancies, returnable packaging and product returns.
