The following is an example of a simple Party Information message reference number PI4356 sent 1 February 1996, from a party identified by the EAN location code 5412345000013 to a party identified by the EAN location code 4012345500004.

The sender provides the receiver with a bank account number which has not been previously transmitted, and resubmits for confirmation purposes the address in coded and structured format, delivery scheduling information, and his VAT registration number.
